What is Deadlock?
Deadlock is an open source user authentication/password protection system written in PHP/MySQL and licensed under the GNU GPL. It uses .htpasswd and .htaccess files to protect any web directory. Installation is as easy as running a setup script.
Why use Deadlock over other session based systems?
Deadlock does not require any sort of code to be added to pages like most other session based login scripts. With Deadlock, you will be able to password protect entire directories that are within your server's document root, making Deadlock ideal for protecting any type of file including html pages, images or other documents.
If you use Deadlock, please take a moment to rate it at the PHP Resource Index and Hotscripts or like us on Facebook!
